WWF needed a suitable and high-quality illustration for their invitation card for the WWF's 2025 General Assembly. The comedian Renato Kaiser was hired for the event and they wanted him and the panda to be the focus of the illustration.
My creative process for this project began with understanding the client’s vision, target audience, and goals. I started by conducting thorough research including their preferences in illustration style. They like a sketched style with graphite. I went on to brain storm on paper and considering the open brief, I started my creative process with a moodboard. For the colour palette I chose earthy and natural tones with enough vibrancy to express a happy colour mood.
After presenting the ideas to WWF through a deck, we decided to go with the balloon idea, which was a nod to it being their 25th "birthday". All balloon illustrations represent specific animals, that the WWF advocates for. I want to thank them for educating people about invertebrates, amphibians, lynxes, weasels, beavers and the threats they face in the wild.
